About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel, learn and enjoy cheaply. And to get my driver's license verified.

ABOUT ME

ALL TRAVELERS SHOULD READ A TIME OF GIFTS BY PATRICK LEIGH FERMOR
Quite difficult to describe oneself, but I'll do my best.
I really enjoy reading, the newspaper, literary journals, novels, philosophical texts and all the classics. I don't mean to sound pretentious but I'm very much interested in these things.
During my spare time I go out and explore, walk around and do my best to find excitement. I've traveled extensively, especially in Western and Central Europe, and enjoy sampling the local fare and, especially in Germany, Austria and Belgium, the local brew.
I enjoy a casual night out at a tavern, some Italian pasta and wine and anything else you can think of.

PHILOSOPHY

I won't ruin the maxims I live by by talking about them, eg, the following.
"You know, I'd like to try another lion," Macomber said. " I'm not really afraid of them now. After all, what can they do to you?"
"That's it," said Wilson. "Worst one can do is kill you. How does it go? Shakespeare. Damned good. See if I can remember. Oh, damned good. Used to quote it to myself at one time. Let's see. 'By my troth, I care not; a man can die but once; we owe god is a death and let it go which way it will he that dies this year is quit for the next.' Damned fine, eh?"
He was very embarrassed, having brought out this thing he had lived by, but he had seen men come of age before and it always moved him. It was not a matter of their twenty-first birthday.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't couch surfed before but hostels are often dirty, insulated from the life of the city, or creepy, hotels are too expensive and couch surfing seems like an alright idea.
