Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have never couch surfed online but have spent much time floating around the various cities i have lived with friends i already had and friends i made along the way.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
riding my bicycle 10 km up Mt. Robertson outside jasper national park. 70 lbs. of gear on my back and a strenuous ( what felt like 2 hour ) ride up the mountain left me absolutely exhausted. Once reaching the plateau a light rain cooled me off as i saw the beautiful glacier fed lake kinney through the forest. Amazing emerald green water nestled in the middle of the highest mountain peaks in the Canadian Rockies!
doing some back country snowboarding in Revelstoke b.c. my and my good friend ignored some closure lines and cliff warning and charged through the un gladed powder fields. I see Guillaume ( my good friend ) hop a pillow maybe 20 feet in front of me so i follow suite right on his trail. that little pillow turned out to be a 40+ foot cliff to flat landing. luckily for us it was a massive powder deposit and Guillaume landed unharmed only to look up at the cliff he just went over and see me falling right for him. Guillaume literally tries to swim out of the way and gets far enough that i land just 2 inches from almost killing him. we share the most exhilarating 20 minute laugh and high five session only to realize that there is a traverse in front of the cliff and a skier skinning up the mountain saw the whole thing!
