About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to experience life through travel, trying and learning new things, being adventurous and always having fun!

ABOUT ME

Well I like a lot of things....music, guitar, adventures, camping, hiking, kayaking, skateboarding, snowboarding, mountains and all things having to do with them, organic farming, permaculture, learning spanish, working towards the greater good, I also think public spaces are super important and communities everywhere should be working to create/take back/preserve them, that said lingering in coffee shops and taverns is always an enjoyable way to spend my time! I am a pretty adaptable person, and love seeing new places.

PHILOSOPHY

I like the phrase "unity in diversity".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will be traveling to Costa Rica for a study abroad program and a friend and I are looking to travel on our own after the program gets done. It will be during the second week of April 2014. Ideally we'd like to go somewhere coastal where we can volunteer a bit of our time, and give surfing a try. We would both prefer somewhere a little off the beaten path and want to avoid the tourist traps.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have yet to surf a couch... but am hope to soon!

Interests

skateboarding, longboarding, whitewater kayaking, really wanna learn more about rock climbing, guitar, mountains, community, sense of place, relationship to nature, experiential education

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen the Northern lights standing on frozen lake superior miles away from the shoreline....backcountry skiing in Idaho and California...volunteered in Mexico....more to come!

Teach, Learn, Share

I study Sustainable Community Development at college and having grown up in a suburban environment I am really interested in the way a suburb shapes people lives and influences their communities. Anyone interested in chatting on this topic feel free to contact me...
