Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Much as I love a good hostel, I also get a bit of a Groundhog's Day vibe meeting people, talking, doing excursions, drinking, and repeating. I like to sink into a place a bit more, hear about it from people who live there.

In Hanoi specifically, I plan on settling in here and finding a job for a bit, so I'm also looking to meet people and get some tips on finding decent work.

Interests

I'm big on quiet spots, good art museums, cool architecture, and half-assed conversations with locals. Less big on drinking and partying, but the mood strikes from time to time, so if you know a place, throw it out there.

In Hanoi, if you know good tattoo artists, gyms, sport/activity groups, etc... give a holler.

Any music with spectacular lyrics, I'm in for.
When I'm on my own, I mostly watch art films (I'm huge on Shane Carruth and Charlie Kaufman, as far as big names go), but I'll watch pretty much anything except horror. Horror just don't do anything for me, one way or the other.

I majored in Literature, so asking about books is a black hole we shouldn't dive into.
