Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I spend weekends in different places, and I enjoy meeting new people. I also plan on travelling more when I pay off my student debts, so I thought I might as well sign up now. I finished my TESOL/TOEFL certificate to teach English abroad, and I'm trying to find a way to teach in Dubai.
Volunteering (volunteered in hospitals and programs helping children with difficult upbringings)
Board games/Card Games (Settler's of Catan, RISK, Agricola, Monopoly Deal, you name it!)
- board games
Music, Movies, and Books
Music - Songs with dark/heavy themes
Books - The Power of One/Tandia (Bryce Courtenay)
Movies - The Painted Veil, Good Will Hunting, Mean Girls, Step Up (only the first), all movies based on Marvel/Capcom characters.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have a black belt in taekwon-do
Teach, Learn, Share
I graduated from my youth group teaching human values and meditation, and am now a teacher.
I had a lot of personal difficulties growing up, and gained insight into myself about dysfunctional upbringings that I feel can help others.
I've traveled to a variety of countries.
*can teach ESL
*can teach public speaking, speech arts, and acting
*can give motivational advice and support talks
*certified by youth group to teach children about human values, how to apply them, and understand what interconnects people of different cultures, and religions
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm respectful, compassionate, friendly, and have peculiar thought patterns. I try to positively effect everyone I meet.
I'm a great listener. I can share information about my travels, and am pretty resourceful with advice.
