Originally Norwegian, after living in Scotland for university I've been labelled an honorary Scot, although that is getting longer and longer ago.
Enjoy travelling, hiking, new experiences, adventures and all that jazz, but most often find myself at home on the couch with a book or binging my latest Netflix discovery .
Love to meet people, thoroughly enjoy those deep conversations that lasts for hours. Am also very much an introvert, I'm learning, so make sure I recharge between social outings. Very passionate about democracy, and politics, love "big talk", not as good at the small talk.
I've hosted people through the rugby quite a few times, both friends and strangers, and always enjoy the experience.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I had a flatmate who was active in the couchsurfing community a few years ago, which was when I joined. We hosted a few surfers through them, which was good fun. I always intended to do the same myself, but haven't had the opportunity yet.
Now I'm planning a longer trip myself, so am reacquanting myself with the community to see if it's an option for my travels in the future.
I've been active in the Norwegian rugby community for several years, really enjoy the spirit of the community, and the sport as well. Love how international rugby is in Norway, we have players from all over the world, although I wish more Norwegians would join as well.
Used to go to dance classes when I was younger, but now it's just a hobby. Love spending a night bouncing on a dance floor, although I don't do it often. Am more likely to curl up with a book and a good cup of tea.
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies - so many different things! Alien, Terminator, Hairspray, Penelope, Star Wars, and many more I can't think of now. The last movie to blow me away was Arrival!
Books - fond of fantasy and crime as genres. Favourite authors are Robin Hobb, Neil Gaiman and JK Rowling/Robert Galbraith. Recently read A long Journey to a Small Angry Planet, which was a great read, glad I took my friend's recommendation there :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Cycled across the Golden Gate bridge (in the fog, of course, could not see a thing)
