I was born and raised in South Africa. My Dad's passion for birding rubbed off on me, on our trips to nature reserves around southern Africa. While traveling, my love for the environment, cultures, languages and photography also grew. I went to an all-boys, five-year, boarding high school and began traveling directly after I graduated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing gives me the opportunity to travel the world and meet new, interesting people with ease. It allows me to learn new cultures and at the same time, share my own. I will be able to observe the birds of the world, learn the languages of different countries and make new friends in the process. I have been addicted to traveling for as long as I can remember and Couchsurfing will help me pursue my dream to travel the globe.

I enjoy reading on topics that interest me (Greek Mythology, Astronomy etc.).
