ABOUT ME

Hey my name is Troy and I am a 25 year old from sunny southern CALIFORNIA! I was an NCAA scholar student athlete where I played Division 1 Football at Hawaii and Norfolk State University in Virginia. I just quit my job at Enterprise Rent-A-Car in order to travel to Brazil for the World Cup and explore the beauty of Brazil. I will be spending a couple of months traveling through Brazil, with hopes of meeting new people and making many, many friends from all over the world!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short. We never know when it is our last day. I'm a firm believer in living life to it's fullest and living each day with a purpose. I believe my purpose in life is to travel the world, meet new people everyday and build relationships with the people I meet. I want to live out my dreams of seeing the world with my own eyes, and plan to travel until the day I die.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am looking to couch surf while exploring through Brazil. I will be flying into Rio De Janeiro on June 5th and will be staying for approximately two months. I'm looking for a short term place to stay until I can find a place to rent a room.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never been couch surfing before, but my sister hosted several couch surfers throughout college. I learned about couch surfing about 10 years ago and ever since have wanted to experience everything the couch surfing has to offer!

Interests

I love traveling and immersing myself into new cultures. I love meeting new people and making as many friends as possible. I'm very outgoing and ultimately love a great adventure. Life is a mystery and too short to not live everyday as if it were my last. I have chosen to just travel on a whim and hope to have an amazing experience traveling through Brazil. I love sports, extreme sports, and competition. I also love just having a good time at the beach during the day and at the bars at night. I'm very laid back and friendly.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love every sort of entertainment. I love the movies and music that take my mind off of stress and help me to relax and enjoy living in the moment. I don't tend to read too many books, but am a huge movie and music fanatic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been skydiving twice over the north shore in Hawaii, bungee jumping off the Bridge to Nowhere in Los Angeles, and have gone canyon jumping in Switzerland. I love extreme sports and experiencing the thrill of living life on the edge.
