I'm a curious creature and like to be exposed to new ways of seeing the world. I love to read, dance (as if I was) drunk, hiking, taking pictures (but not for Insta), cooking, social activism (feminism, civil rights, labor rights), and computers.

My life has taken lots of turns, I lived in a number of countries, and I'm now getting my Ph.D. in political science which defines my life at this point. So I'd be happy to talk about international events but please don't ask me how my Ph.D. is going ;-)

If you would like to surf my couch (it's a bed, actually), please let me know how much time you would like to spend together with me (please be honest in our mutual interest) and tell me a little bit about the kinds of things that you would like to do while you're here. My wife and I are busy professionals, so during the week, we are mostly available in the evening between 5 and 9. On the weekends we are more flexible. We are open to hosting you for a maximum of two nights. We have a dog and are unfortunately unable to accommodate dog phobias and allergies.

When I'm asking to surf your couch, I do so because I am genuinely interested in you and the place where you live. So it would be great if you could show us around and introduce us to the place where you live. At the same time, I enjoy a good balance between spending time with my host and some time by myself or with my partner. If you have any questions about this, please let me know so we are on the same page.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

I joined Couchsurfing in 2008 when it was still not-for profit and things were just taking off. I guess back then I joined couchsurfing primarily because I wanted to travel on the cheap (that's why you're here, too, admit it!).

These days I'm here because I want to meet interesting people from the place I travel to or the place I've moved to. If you speak French or Spanish, I would love to practice that.

To be honest, there are a gazillion amazing things I have had the fortune to experience and I don't really feel like bragging. The most rewarding experiences have been those where I could give to people. I would love to make more such experiences here on couchsurfing.

Everything mentioned above. I can share some of my cooking with you (although I mostly improvise, so don't expect receipes). Risotto, pizza, curry, salads of all sorts. I usually cook vegan but I do eat stuff with eggs and milk.
