I left Europe about 14 years ago to reach out and explore the world. My travels brought me to China where the urge to dig deeper into one of the oldest civilization made me stay for nearly a decade. Later my curiosities lead me to the Middle East, where a twelve-month-long fruitless attempt to understand the multi-layered complexity of its regional problems finally let me to dedicate myself completely to the Ocean. Now I'm on the road again with my partner to explore and conquer Africa...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Surfing couches from Istanbul to Tehran, from Dubai to Cairo and beyond, Couchsurfing is not about saving money, it's about spending it in a more positive way, in a more social and personal way.
To share unforgettable moments, to build lasting friendships, to learn from each others life-experience and to create a network of trust, where people from different cultural background, with different religious views, with their own dreams, hopes, problems and sorrows, meet in mutual respect and help each other to make our lives worth living.
Motorbiking around the Alps, West China, Tibet, Vietnam, Southern and Western Africa. Sailing around the Baltic Sea with my best friend. Addicted to diving and even better getting paid for it. Rock climbing always in my mind - more please! Jumping out of plans, aka skydiving. Skiing yes and hiking more and more. Horseback riding since I was four. Yoga only under supervision and running moderately.
