ABOUT ME

I love to laugh, meet new people, and explore! I'm easy to talk to and love hearing fun/quirky stories. I think one of the best ways to meet someone is over a beer and a board game (I love me some Risk, Trivial Pursuit, and Scattegories). I'm a sucker for jigsaw puzzles--they are so meditative. I can get along with most anyone and anywhere. I find it funny that some people think I'm very serious and others think I'm a goofball. I guess I like to have it both ways. :)

I like playing tour guide in Chicago. I hope to find some great people on my travels this summer, couch or no couch. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met a few people here in Chicago and have had a good time. I'm heading out to Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and England early summer and hope to meet some more great people!

Interests

Learning new songs on my guitar and playing with friends (I'm trying to learn a Jack Johnson song at the moment). Documentaries, getting "lost" in cities, LOST, reading loads of books, wondering where to travel next, biking/running around the city and especially along Lake Michigan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived along the ancient Silk Road as a Peace Corps Volunteer for 2 yrs. Getting lost in the mysterious Angkor Wat. Hanging from the wing of a jet plane. Helping to create tv show for local cable access network. Swam under a waterfall in the Amazon rainforest.

I just found out that a bar in town once played the Chicago Cubs in a softball game and beat them 16-2! No wonder they haven't won a World Series in over 100 yrs!
