ABOUT ME

I am a crazy, fun-loving individual. I like risks, love driving, and have a habit of making friends with pretty much everyone I meet. My goal here is to visit every major city within a couple days drive of my home. Hope I get around to it!!

PHILOSOPHY

I take my life philosophy from RENT. "There is no future, there is no past, I live each moment as my last. No other road, no other way, NO DAY BUT TODAY!" Every moment is more precious than the last.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently unable to host, unfortunately, because I am living with my parents, and therefore do not have permission to give away their couch during the night. I am very interested in networking with people from across the country, though, and hope to contribute by making some new friends.

Interests

Art, colors, architecture, museums of all sorts (from science to art to history), foreign languages, BEACHES, famous huge parties (i.e. Mardi Gras), any nightlife, dancing, acting, modeling, singing off tune in my car while I drive, upscale window shopping (HELLO Rodeo Drive!), hiking, swimming, working out, laughing, basically anything fun :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Most movies, not gonna lie, make me cry. I LOVE this fact! I enjoy getting emotional about movies haha. So obviously, some favorites are Titanic, The Notebook, Marley & Me, My Sister's Keeper, PS I Love You, and, most recent addition to the list, Pirate Radio. I love all music, but especially hip hop and country. As for books, I have in my own personal collection a few hundred, so it's a bit hard to name any specifically that are my favorite. I like historical fiction, fantasy, and mystery the most, though I do harbor a secret love for anything supernatural. I'm a Harry Potter FREAK!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went spelunking in a cave in West Virginia about two years ago, and had the most creepy experience ever. It was on a trip with my college, and we had a local guide who was pretty skilled. Well, we went into this old cave that is rarely explored, though it had been before we got there and maps had been drawn, so there was no fear of getting lost. Well, we got about 400 feet down the tunnel, past where you could see even a flicker of the daylight outside, and all of a sudden I started having a panic attack and crying hysterically. I didn't know what caused it, as I was having quite the grand time right beforehand and just all of a sudden freaked out. I stayed there while the rest of my group explored for another 30 minutes or so, then came back. When we got outside and were setting up to eat lunch before going into another cave, the guide told us that 6 people had died in a cave- in that cave some time before. I swear to you that I had no idea, and I wasn't scared. I think I sensed their presence in the cave. Scary stuff!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I work in Social Media Management, and I would love to teach you how to best promote yourself and/or your business on twitter, facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, blogs, etc. I have a knack for it, but I'll warn you I can get kind of bossy when I teach! I also have experience being an event coordinator (which is what I want to do with my life) and would be happy to plan my visit according to an upcoming event that I could help you organize. I want to learn new languages...I'm sad that I only know one (other than English).
