One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first time would be the very first time I left the United States. I was very scared and anxious, but often times I think those are the things that you really need to experience. I left for Sri Lanka back in 2006 for a Mission Trip and my life changed forever. I was one of those typical Americans that had little or no knowledge of the outside world and I desperately wanted to change that. I manned up and went for it, it paid off exponentially!

Another one that I will always remember is perhaps not that big of a deal to most people, but I still think about it. I made my way to Taiwan where I lived for three years. One day, I was out shopping, getting ready to cross the street when out, of no where, the sky opened up and a downpour ensued. I was going to make a run for it because I didn't have a lot of time. While I was getting ready to go a little boy and his sister offered to share their umbrella with me while I crossed the road. You may think, wow Tim, no big deal, but these two kids knew nothing about me and they still offered to help. From that day on, I have wanted to raise my kids in a way that when someone was in need, no matter how small, they would do something about it.

Teach, Learn, Share

All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.
