I'm a bit of a lone wolf, creative and enjoy both the humourous and the serious sides of life. I respect others' space and beliefs. I appreciate authenticity in all things and feel at home with people who create with their hands, hearts, minds.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new at this but have hitchhiked through Canada and Europe in earlier days so am flexible! I can unfortunately not offer a bed in my apartment as it is so tiny.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nomadic wanderings throughout Canada, from Tofino on Vancouver Island to Newfoundland.

Interests

Beauty and bravery of all kinds draw my attention. I teach English, write and draw. As often as I can, I get out of the city and into nature with my bike, my books and drawing stuff. And a delicious picnic, of course.

Music, Movies, and Books

Graphic novels interest me very much and are a form of story which has unlimited potential. I am currently viewing coming-of-age movies and reading novels in that genre, as well as studying the craft of writing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many moments in nature, my true home. The Aurora Borealis up in northern Alberta. Swimming alone in wild places.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I'm passionate about clear, strong language which creates vivid pictures, and I have understood that to draw something which is full of life, you need to become that thing or person to get a sense of them and transport that to the page. So if anyone wants to talk about these aspects, or learn what I've learned, just ask.
