About Me

Missouri man who's been living in Las Vegas for four years. I love Las Vegas! There's great food, great weather, great entertainment, and no mosquitos! Haha. I work for a private basketball training company called Impact Basketball. We train basketball players from all over the world, at all levels from the NBA to college to high school.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people from other walks of life and cultures.

Interests

Obviously I watch a lot of basketball, but I love other sports too. Being from Missouri, I am a huge St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. I am also a huge Miami Hurricanes football fan. I love reading and discussing politics and current events. I'm a very open-minded person who loves who hear different viewpoints.

Books-

Blink by Malcom Gladwell
How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie
7 Habits of Highly Effective People- Steven Covey
Wooden by John Wooden
Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer

Movies: Good Will Hunting, Pulp Fiction, Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, Forest Gump, Boyhood...I'm also a fan of romantic comedies. Some of my favorites are Hitch, As Good as It Gets, Dan in Real Life, Silver Linings Playbook, Serendipity, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Definitely Maybe.

Music: Kanye West if my favorite musical artist by far. I know he's a polarizing figure and you either love him or hate him. Well, I love him (at least his music). His music has inspired my like no other. I also like bands like RHCP and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. Living in Vegas has made me a big fan of EDM and I've seen most of the best DJs (Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Kaskade, Diplo).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hhmm.....

Well, one time I got to meet Michael Jordan. When he shook my hand, he looked up, smiled, and said, "Damn, you're too tall." (Oh yea, I forgot to mention, I'm 6'9")
It was one of the most amazing things I've done.

Teach, Learn, Share
