I am fascinated by exploring other cultures and want to do some traveling next to eastern Africa. I am beginning as a graduate student in a PhD program in science education and am using the summer to travel to Finland, Russia, China and Hawaii before settling down to student life again back in the States.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

(1) Seeing monks debating at Sera Monastery in Lhasa, Tibet. (2) Crossing the equator by boat on Lake Victoria while watching a vast column of lake flies in the distance. (3) The bottom of my shoes melting while climbing Taal Volcano in the Philippines.
