Overview
About Me
I work at a community arts center in Richmond, VA fixing tools and equipment and improving studios. I also teach and have a studio there.
I've had several past lives. I majored in french horn performance, became a farmer, then a potter, and now I usually call myself a metalsmith, though I've been recently working with concrete.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I try to live outside of mainstream capitalism as much as possible. I prefer work exchange relationships and skill sharing. I love exploring cities, meeting new people, and having a wide network of connections.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It was quite a while ago, but nine friends and I rode our bikes from Ohio to San Francisco with a dog, a cat, and a vegetable oil powered truck.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm pretty good at fixing and building things. I can make decent Ethiopian food. I can pour concrete!
