One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last summer, midst the civil war in Syria, the driver of the cab that I was travelling with from Beirut to Damascus, invited me to his home for dinner. He spoke not a word of English nor Turkish and I only knew a few words of Arabic. I was so scared at first but my curiosity won against my fear and I ended up having great time and one of the best dishes I've ever had(camel kebab). I can not reach him now and I hope he and his family is OK.
