UPDATE: My boyfriend and I are using Airbnb to rent out the room normally available to couch surfers to Airbnb guests for the summer and winter of 2015. We've been fully booked on Airbnb from July until mid November so we won't be hosting anyone for free during those dates, because we want a break whenever we can from having constant guests in our house. If you want to stay with us now, and you are willing to pay for a room then check out our Airbnb profile to see if we have any availability, or maybe send us a couch request, but there's a good chance we will decline your CS request if we are booked through www.Airbnb.com.
Our Airbnb Room : https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/3321663
P.S : I love hosting people on Couchsurfing too, but it's a lot of effort right now and the Airbnb money helps a lot with our finances at the minute (we are students).
Happiness is a journey, not a destination
I'm living in Manchester with my boyfriend, some friends and my cat at the moment, while studying Graphic Design at Salford University. You can see some of my graphic design work here:
I'm also the founder of a free creative monthly event in Manchester called "Drink n'Doodle". If you'd like to know more about it, you can check it out here:
I'd say I am a free-spirited explorer of the world. My motto is "work hard, play hard". I caught the travel bug a few years ago and have never stopped traveling. I also love cooking, (I thought a few years back I never would) but there's nothing better than coming back home from a hard days work and having some friends over for great dinner & drinks. Don't get me wrong, I also like a good night out (like the Warehouse Project) every now and then.
I'm a very spontaneous, fun, creative and friendly person (sometimes too outgoing so some people might not understand that too much but I mean it in a friendly way). I've spent the last four years and a half living, working, and studying in different cities in Europe such as:
And I plan to live in more. There's a lot more to me but you'll find out when you get to know me in person. I should warn you though, I wear mismatched socks, and have an odd & massive collection of postcards.
Things I love:
-Pantone colours (I'm a graphic design geek)
-Cooking things from scratch
-Making lists (trying to be organized)
-A good bottle of wine (especially fruity red wine) or White Zinfandel Rose
-Trying new things (food, experiences, languages, films, etc)
-Drawing/ Making stuff (That's why I keep organised Pinterest boards of what inspires me http://www.pinterest.com/carolinabeiertz)
-Lovely amazing, well designed packaging
-Typography (especially handmade typography)
-Traveling/Backpacking (If it were up to me, I'd live in a different country every 2-3 yrs).
-Exploring different cultures (venturing into the unknown)
-I love sleeping, especially after good night out (I'm not an early morning person but I can drag myself out of bed when I need to)
-Making other people happy
-Complimenting strangers (If I like their clothing, their style, or personality)
-Photographing people I know/love/cherish/find inspiring
Anyway, I apologize for the long lists, its a design habit I can't get rid of (to try and keep things neat).
I think life is short so just do what you think is right, and make the most out of it. Be yourself, and don't let other people get in the way of your goals and dreams.
As they say : "Don't live to work, but work to live"

I love solving problems and being creative. As a graphic designer I'm constantly looking at billboards, logos, flyers, and all sorts of marketing material that I get bombarded with on a daily basis. I love to D.I.Y. and refurbish furniture. I also like to create things with my hands. I have loads of Pinterest boards where I keep my daily inspiration and future projects. If you'd like to see some of them go to:
I have a deep passion for photography especially fashion photography since I've been doing it for almost four years now. I also like writing, and painting. If you would like to see some of my work check out my Facebook Photography page
When I'm not doing creative stuff, I love to spend time at the beach surfing. I also love to brew my own ale with my boyfriend James.
