ABOUT ME

I am about to move from the US to Utrecht, The Netherlands to get a Master's in Cognitive Artificial Intelligence at the university. I will arrive on the 21st of August, but my housing won't be available until September 1, so I am seeking couches for the time in between.

I am quite nerdy and kind of shy around new people, but I'm quite fun after getting past small talk (unless you're uptight or very religious, in which case you will find me offensive). I love to talk about science but I also love to listen to anyone talk about their passions, whatever they may be. I identify as queer and trans* and I am open to talking about those things with anyone who wants to educate themselves. I also identify as a pixie :3

Interests

I like to read a lot. Right now I am reading "The Gods Themselves" by Asimov. I am a huge George R. R. Martin fan. My favorite nonfiction speakers and writers are Richard Feynman, Carl Sagan, Richard Dawkins, and Christopher Hitchens.

I love to sing, act, and dance, but I have been lacking an outlet for some time. If you know anything about the theater scene in Utrecht, I'd be very interested.

I like cooking and trying new cuisines. I can make a great Thai curry.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My favorite experience in life so far was going to Burning Man in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada, USA. It is a wonderful, happy, and accepting place and I am very sad I cannot return this year.
