There is no life I know to compare with pure imagination. Living there, you'll be free, if you truly wish to be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I come from a place that is hospitable to strangers. I hope by beginning to couch surf I can validate my trust of people I don't know, and one day when I have a couch of my own I'd love to host other future couch surfers. For right now though, I'm the surfer and not the surfee. I just made up the word surfee. I hope it makes sense. It looks like it should be the word slurpee, though.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love pixar movies, my favorite being the Incredibles and Ratatouille. But I also am a Tim Burton fan, a Chuck Jones fan, a Jim Henson fan, an Aardman animation fan, and a rocky horror picture show fan.

I listen to a whole lotta stuff, just not much country, christian, death metal, or rap.

I read comic books, the Week magazine, books about animation like the Illusion of Life, Jasper Fforde, George Carlin, and Doug Adams. My favorite comic strips are Calvin and Hobbes and the Far Side.

My favorite cartoons are the Looney Tunes, Animaniacs, Pocoyo, King of the Hill, and the Simpsons. My favorite shows are Scrubs, Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog, and Law and Order SVU.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cirque du Soleil is amazing. The Lion King on Broadway is amazing. Angel's Landing in Zion National Park is amazing. Raking a perfect box of blueberries is amazing. Seeing your animations/short films screened on a real TV is amazing. All of these things plus more are amazing! How do you pick just one?

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a lot about Maine, blueberries, and lobster. I'm also pretty good with computers. I work as labbie, which means I help students here at school with their computer-related projects and teach workshops in software programs that pertain to motion graphics and animation. I can also make websites! If I ever end up couchsurfing with someone who needs help with graphic design or making a website with Dreamweaver, I can help!
