About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Looking to have some new experiences while I'm in career/living transition. I have a good friend who's a CS junky, has interesting/cool people over all the time and suggest that I hop on aboard!
ABOUT ME
New York native now living in Morristown NJ for the time being. I've traveled a lot over the years, and have both hosted and been hosted around the world. Right now, I'm looking for a new permanent place and bouncing around a bit. A good friend who hosts almost twice a month on CS, suggested I try it out. To see new potential neighborhoods I might want to settle in, meet cool people along the way.......etc. So here I am!! I'm an architect, all around "artsy" egghead who like most people on CS, is sociable, adventurous, and gets bored easily with the same old daily routines. Like my good friend, I find it more interesting to meet and engage new people/places/experiences, than watch TV or play video games at home....:)
PHILOSOPHY
Hit the "pause" button in your life for at least 1 hour each day. Use this time for lucid contemplation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Although I have not "formally" been involved with CS, I have stayed over a few times with friends in CS while they were hosting and am fimiliar with what it's all about.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Please see above.
Interests
Arts, architecture, cooking, global and local politics. I'm pretty well traveled so I always enjoy chatting with people from different cultures and backgrounds. Activity wise....live music/jazz, tennis, dive bars and lounges, stimulating conversation, sightseeing (like any architect, I love studying new areas, no matter where. They are all interesting in their own way).

Music, Movies, and Books
Classic French "new wave" film. I'm mostly interested in avant-garde movements. Creative exploration. So it's hilarious that for the last 10 years I've practiced very formal classical architecture...! The list of books, music......etc is too much for these pages. Let's just say I thoughtfully take on, enjoy popular culture as art, as well as entertainment.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm amazed by seeing anything I've ever designed after it's been built. To see people walking through, living in something I imagined.
Teach, Learn, Share
As an architect, architectural historian, with a construction background, I could probably have a 4 hour conversation/lecture on the history of any given area I happen to be in. I'm a computer/gadget wiz, so hooking up someone's tech things is also fun for me. I cook well. I'm a natural Mr. fix it, so helping out around the place is like having fun solving a puzzle for me. I have a musical background so a possible jam session (me on guitar) could also work out....:)
