What I love the most about travelling is to meet people from all kinds of different backgrounds, cultures, upbringings with all kinds of different ideas and ideals, believes and worldviews. It makes me see how different we are from each other, and at the same time that we are all pretty much the same :) It makes me realize that there are millions of ways to live a life and the way I choose to live mine is just one. Also, I can change it just like that!
I just returned from a big trip to enjoy the summer in Europe. I came back richer in experience and a bit poorer in personal baggage :)
In New Zealand I learned how to go with the flow and that the universe takes care of everything, It took me to the places I needed to be and took me away when I needed to leave. I learned about the beauty of beaches, rivers, mountains, woods, lakes and how awesome it is to live in a car.
In Australia I learned how to live in a self sustained way. I learned how to make yogurt, bread and pasta myself and how to cook healthy food. I learned more about permaculture and organic farming. I also learned that there is a limit to avocados I could eat a day, even though there were avocados in abundance all around the farm, where I was picking.
In India I learned that my body can do more than carrying around my head. I learned how beneficial Yoga and moving freely in dance is for the body-mind and how to sit silently, not doing anything. That's by far the hardest thing :) I also learned to really appreciate the eastern way of life and thought in oppose to western society.
Other than that, I am a lover of typography and books. I love to create concepts and layout for books, which is great, because I happen to be a communication designer :)
