Live up to my highest potential. And finish my master's degree.
I'm interested in everything and anything. Usually this means I have too much on my plate, but right now I don't have what you would call a "job", so I even have time for that everything and anything :-D
I sing in a super cool medieval gothic metal band, and we're just working on our first demo. Most of my time thus goes singing and playing instruments. On the side I try to write (I have a first draft of a book done, but the editing, oh, the editing...), I dance, and I've taken up drawing and painting after a loooooooooong break. I also try to study Spanish and Hungarian, and occasionally French. On top of this, I'm studying to be an intuitive energy healer, which basically means at the moment a lot of work getting to know who I really am, what I want, and solving my issues.
My ultimate dream is to be an owner of a teahouse and a dozen other restaurants while being a semiprofessional dancer/singer/musician/painter/writer/comic book artist/English+Spanish teacher while travelling around the world in a sailboat with my boyfriend. And maybe have a couple of kids on top. And be stress-free and happy. One can always dream, right?
I enjoy good food and wine (and tea!), and interesting conversations. When it comes to parties, I either like the type where you can really talk with the people around you, or then just dance your heart out. So not really a fun of noisy crowded pubs where you can't do either. I might appear a bit of an introvert, but don't be fooled, once you get me talking it's hard to shut me up. It's just in my Finnish nature to be a bit shy ;-)
You reap what you sow, as in, think positive and you'll have a positive outcome. At least, everything is easier and you'll be happier if you just trust that everything goes as it's supposed to go, and try to be positive about it. Kindness is never wasted, and you should be sympathetic about people and be kind to them, even though it is hard at times.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surfing, hosting, participating in local events...Couchsurfing is awesome! For the moment I'm having a bit of a lull in the action, but I'm sure I'll get back there eventually :-)
Great! All my experiences with it have been good to say the least, and at times, just awesome! I've met so many great people who I hope to meet again. Couchsurfing has given me faith in human beings, and to the fact, that there are guys out there who are in fact interested in just being friends and nothing more.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Stephen King (especially Duma Key and some of his short stories), Johanna Sinisalo, Harry Potters, Twilight saga, The Time Traveller's Wife, Hunger Games trilogy, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, any good escape literature really, and lots of other stuff as well. Few of my favourites of non-fiction are Predictably Irrational, Escape, God Delusion and Sissimarkkinointi (Guerilla marketing).
The King's speech, Shawshank redemption, Leon, Last Samurai, Sin City, Rare Exports, movies of Pedro Almodóvar, Stranger than Fiction, Star Wars (4-6), The Lord of the Rings, Love actually, The Fifth Element, Demolition man and The Book of Eli are some of the movies that come to mind...but there's always so many, really. Also have to mention Woody Allen, although I can't tell his movies apart (at least by the name) because my boyfriend never told me which of the movies we were watching at each time :-D
When it comes to music, almost anything goes (maybe not death metal and some of Finnish rap), but I rarely listen to music, as it manipulates my emotions too much...Prince, Infected Mushroom, Elisa (Toffoli), Nightwish, Tom Waits, Jamie Cullum, Beth Orton, Pintandwefall, Script and Poets of the Fall are some of my favourites. And of course I love the music of our band, Rosslyn! Also anything you can dance to and I have to admit that I'm a sucker for Eurovisions :-D
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A sky full of northern lights one night when I was younger - we first thought a thunder storm was coming!
Being in a middle of a forest clearing with all the lights miles away and the sky filled with millions of stars.
Sauna - rolling in the snow - sauna - rolling in the snow - sauna!
Singing in harmony in an empty old stone church somewhere in the the middle of French countryside.
Washing my teeth 3 am by a fountain under the stars in a tiny French village.
The way I got to know the guitarist of our band. We just met on the street, started to talk, became good friends, and I ended up singing in his band. I don't really believe in fate, but this meeting was definitely guided from above :-)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you Finnish, some other languages on elementary level, Finnish + Scandinavian culture, good food recipes (both vegetarian and carnivore), some Aikido, dancing, playing piano and guitar... I can give Reiki treatments.
I love to learn languages. Especially I'd like to learn to communicate more effectively in Spanish and in Swedish (so Spanish and Swedish native speakers welcome!) and I never miss a chance to hone my English skills. Other languages I've learned at least a little include French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Hungarian and Japanese. Honestly, I love to learn almost anything!
