CURRENT MISSION

VaughanTown is a non-paid, volunteer program. Participants exchange conversation for room and board in the heart of the Spanish countryside in the four star Puerto de Gredos hotel.

ABOUT ME

In July 2001 Vaughan did something that had never been done before: they transformed an abandoned Spanish village into a tiny but bustling metropolis whose official language was English. We "stocked" the village with 20 English speakers (Anglos) from all over the world and brought in 20 Spaniards, leaving the 40 to communicate and share their experience together. The Anglos had the most memorable 10 days of their life and the Spaniards were three times more fluent and confident with the English language.
Since the pilot project, we have conducted over 160 programs and attracted more than 6,500 English-speaking volunteers and Spanish clients. Now, this innovative cultural and linguistic experience is an ongoing venture, establishing a true enclave for English improvement deep in the heart of Spain.

You will come to Spain under the umbrella of Vaughan Systems, the largest in-company language training firm in Spain. In our classes, we build for our Spanish executives the foundation, main pillars, and beams. At VaughanTown, we will want *YOU* to expose them to "the real McCoy"… real English and, in essence, finish off that roof for them.
