ABOUT ME

I'm outgoing and curious which is why I love to travel. It's also why I studied journalism. I was born in Zaporozhye, Ukraine but I moved to Canada when I was five years old. I like to have fun but I also love to learn new things. I have strong opinions but I try to have an open mind.

Right now I'm traveling so I'm looking to surf but when I get back to Canada I want to host fellow travelers :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couch surfing experience was with a friend in Tallinn, Estonia. We stayed with a really interesting and fun American who worked for the embassy there. I couldn't have asked for a better host. I haven't been couch surfing through the website yet but I hope people will give me a chance so I can build up some references and do it more!

Music, Movies, and Books

Too much to list.
Right now I'm really into folk music.
As for books I have a wide range of tastes, but my favorite author is Virginia Woolf.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My favorite place I have travelled has been Rwanda. I spent two months there working for a newspaper. I got to really know a lot about some of the issues the country is facing, and I met a lot of great people. I also got to see mountain gorillas in their natural habitat, which was incredible!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love meeting people who have some similar interests as me, but who can also teach me something new. I'm a journalist so I'm always eager to learn as much as possible so I can understand the world better.
