About Me
Hi there! My name's Victoria and I'm from Chicago. In the U.S, I study computer science and hispanic studies (for bachelors) and I'm starting a Master's in urban education policy soon, though I'm currently studying translation in Spain (Granada). I love learning, dogs, nature, reading, writing, cooking, baking, and of course, meeting new people! I hope we can meet soon :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm planning on going to Germany for Christmas and New Year's (I'm studying abroad in Spain for a semester but wanted to explore Germany while in Europe) and would love to meet people who can tell me a little more about the places I'm visiting and who wouldn't mind spending their holiday with me :).

Teach, Learn, Share
Oppression-- overwhelming control-- is necrophilic; it is nourished by love of death, not life. The banking concept of education, which serves the interests of oppression, is also necrophilic. Based on a mechanistic, static, naturalistic, spatialized view of consciousness, it transforms students into receiving objects. It attempts to control thinking and action, leads women and men to adjust to the world, and inhibits their creative power. -Paulo Freire
