I spent my 25 years of life in India and moved to UK to study. I have 2 boys aged 8 and 6. Recently a huge transformation took place in me and my husband and we pulled our kids off school and started unschooling(home educating). We then made a decision of travelling in India for 6 months and worldschool the boys. So here I am with my 2 boys travelling and meeting wonderful people. Prashant unfortunately had to stay back in England to sponsor our trip ;)

Why I chose India to travel? I grew up in India and have fond memories and trying to reconnect with
my roots. I feel its the right place to let my boys see the real world!

I am more keen on rural India especially farms than cities.

I am in to health and wellness apart from engineering background. I offered my services as vastu consultant in in the UK for couple of years before started travelling.

We try to eat organic food wherever it is possible and promote healthy lifestyle among the people we know.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

So far, we have been exploring southern part of India and stayed with couple of home-ed families. A good friend and a host of mine introduced me to couchsurfing and yes this is what I have been looking for! I would love to meet people and listen to their stories and share my skills and knowledge with them. My boys get so bored to visit popular touristy places unless they have read about it somewhere and are curious! So,
we are looking for families who can treat us like their own family and in return you will receive love and some fun time.

Whatever my husband and boys play at home; have no choice but they become my favorite; else I like classical India music; chanting and bhajans

I grew up watching lots of movies in Kakinada which is a cinema town. I just love to sit in the cinema and watch any movie

We are all bookworms, I can live without TV and phone but not without books
I have read lots of spiritual and Yoga books; health and wellness books and telugu literature.
I am currently reading J Krishnamurti's books (What are doing with your life and School without fear)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have done a couple of amazing things and still counting
1. Parasailing in Portugal
2. Solo trip with boys to Italy, driven on the other side of the road for the first time(definitely an adventure for me)
3. Driven in India during this trip for the first time(yes its another adveture :))
4. Decision to travel in India on my own with boys who drive me crazy most of the times ;)

My boys speak very good english, if you have young kids, my boys will be their great friends to communicate and play

My boys have great knowledge about astronomy, history of the world, sports and are always very curious to learn something new.
