About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experience the world. We only live once so make full use of it.

ABOUT ME

23 years old male Chinese born Indonesian. Considering travelling alone for first time. Hope for an amazing first time experience. :)

My traits:
Adventurous. I was always looking forward to try out something new (as long as it did not kill me. haha). Currently, I am quite fed up with urban life in Singapore and considering doing something major such as long term travel.

Thrifty and business oriented. Kinda stereotyping as my hometown is known for its business minded population. I spend little on unneccesary stuffs (avoiding consumerism). However, I unhesitantly spend money on items that I feel strongly for.

Weird (more in the sense of unconventional). I am seemingly a risk-averse person with logical train of thought in terms of the benefits and consequences of action. However, I am known for being the first to try out new stuff that is unconventional in my social circle(for example boxing).

Introvert. I am not shy but I shut down in large group. I enjoy more personal interaction of small groups (4-5 people). Very talkative and random when comfortable.

Liberal. Pretty much very open-minded.

PHILOSOPHY

Try out anything new!!

Accepts everything for what they are without being judgmental.

Get out of the rat race as fast as possible.

Look for opportunities at every corner.

Interests

Getting out of my comfort zone. So far have tried archery, guitar, tennis, badminton, basketball, soccer , bits of boxing, dancing, performing, learning japanese, chinese. Things that sticks so far: dance, tennis, books and video games.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Performing in front of 500+ people in a show. Heard about how times slows down when tension level reach a certain high point? I experienced it when dancing contemporary on the stage. Amazingly, it happens during body spinning looking up the stage light which makes the experience the more surreal. Pretty awesome memory and experience of my life.

Scoring a goal and a few unintentionally very good assist during my first few sessions of soccer. Pretty much a beginner's luck as I found out much later that I suck big time in soccer. It felt pretty good though being cheered on and somehow managed to get the goal and good assist.

BALI: Almost died when diving. Haha. Panic sets in during the coral observing and I kinda rush to the surface of water. Lucky we are not so deep that bubbles can form in my blood. Whole thing happens because of cheap breather. I kinda suck in oxygen along with sea water (salty).

BALI: Rafting in rapids. Awesome experience. Too bad, majority of my friends are heavy and the raft never flips. At the end of the stream which is calm, we jump into the cold river and swim to the end which is amazingly a pretty high waterfall (the flow of water is slowed by a structure and we swim towards the land before the drop). Most amazing part is seeing a daredevil local kid jumping down the waterfall. He must not be more than 8-10 years old.

BALI: Surfing at Kuta and body boarding at Padang Padang Beach. On hindsight, the body boarding part is quite stupid as the wave is way too big and we pretty much get rolled on the sandy beach. Many sessions later and we end up with scratches everywhere. But, it was crazy fun. haha. Not to mention we haggle with the rental guy from 15USD a board to about 2 USD a board.

TOBA LAKE: Going to the bottom of a high waterfall ending in shallow river. The splash and wind created by the waterfall is amazing. We have to hide behind a huge boulder to avoid being blown away. Did I mention the rainbow formed by the waterfall? It's awesome! Google: Sipiso-Piso waterfall.
