ABOUT ME

We're in the process of moving to Ottawa, and are making several short trips beforehand to make arrangements. Would love to connect with hosts in the city who wouldn't mind familiarizing us with life in the city.

About Vince: Starting in the fall, I will be studying History and Theory of Architecture at Carleton University; with hopes of switching into their main architecture program. I am a fairly social person and a recluse at the same time and enjoy spending time with my camera, obscure books, and my piano as much as I do going out with my boyfriend and my small circle of close friends. I love travelling, and have been to about 15 countries so far, and have grown up in 3 very exciting cities (Dhaka, Dubai, Toronto). Perhaps because of this, I tend to want to move around more than the average person, but school and a serious long term relationship are changing those priorities rather fast.

About Brian: I am currently working within the alternative health and wellness industry as an Esthetician for an upscale spa. I enjoy scribbling out my future best seller and playing video games in my spare time. I'm open minded and listen to a wide variety of unusual music and love to passionately discuss the merits of the variety of artists I enjoy. I am relocating to stay close to my sweetheart :).

At the moment we're looking to surf and form connections with new and exciting people in Ottawa, and perhaps further afield should the future allow it. Our residential situation is currently being reshuffled, but we anticipate hosting once we've moved into a new place together :)

Interests

Vince: Books, photography, drawing, painting, video games (not as much as Brian though), film, fashion (it's epistemological and cultural implications; not someone you'd usually hear say "fabulous" very often)30 rock, trash TV (there's something really comforting in listening to the sound of your brain gradually stewing into a squirming mass of gooey sludge) diverse cultures and their perspectives on knowing, identity, being, and belonging.

Brian: Art, music, books, video games (Heroes of Newerth! SOMEBODY PLAY WITH ME!), people's personal "meaning of life," excellent Islay's and the letter writing process.
