We are a very friendly couple - Viola, 26, Italian and Jonas, 29, German.
Don't be frightened, we're not an overly attached couple - and if we are, we are good at hiding it!
We met a few years ago while traveling and are totally happy to be surrounded by people, especially if not Germans or Italians, but we have nothing against them either!
We traveled and lived in Australia and UK, and moved to Cologne about 5 years ago. So, we aren't really insiders, but we do love the city and are happy to share its secrets with random travelers!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After some traveling and meeting the most different and interesting people, settling down and living the normal life can be boring sometimes. That's why we don't wanna leave the international community! We'd love to keep our horizons open, constantly meet new people and increase our network of friends around the globe!

Interests

We do love cooking, but mainly eating - we love to try different dishes from all over the world! Maybe that's one of the reasons why we love traveling :) Also of course we love meeting new people, sharing experiences/views/stories...and a beer or a glass of wine! We'd like to visit cities from the local's side, as we don't usually like touristic sites, but rather little alternative corners or the really local part of the city/town/whatever. We actually usually prefer countryside to cities! We love nature, enjoying a picnic or a bbq...
We like going out partying sometimes, but we also enjoy house parties and chill out nights at home with friends.
In our free time, we try to be active but usually fail.. we can go for a swim at the lake near by, go for a run, an inline skate ride or just to the gym :) otherwise we just stay at home, listen to music, play guitar and try to sing, read, watch movies or play xBox!

Music, Movies, and Books

Well, regarding music taste we totally agree: rock, funky, folk and chill out music.. a bit of everything really! (Red Hot Chili Peppers, John Butler, Dire Straits...)

Concerning movies either science fiction and action, or alternative movies.. We also do love TV series! (Among others: Game of Thrones, Dexter, Big Bang Theory, How I Met your Mother...)

Books: we love reading, especially Viola - every book is a hidden treasure! (favorite book ever: The Count of Montecristo)

Teach, Learn, Share

We just loooove sharing cooking skills, most of all the eating part though! Also, Jonas is a pretty good guitar player willing to delight your senses - and to share his abilities (not sure how good a teacher he is though).

What I Can Share with Hosts

We could try and cook some Italian/German specialties :) we could have interesting multilingual conversations and share travel stories. Also, we are pretty fun party companions :)
