About Me

Fully vaccinated (Team Pfizer!)

Grew up in the US in a small town (Elgin, South Carolina) and moved to Seattle in my early twenties so basically a city boy who's a country boy at heart. Laid back and easy going. Love camping, outdoors, road trips, karaoke, beer, coffee, beaches, travel and basically anything to do with nature and photography! I also love Seattle so make a great tour guide! Have a great sense of humor and love meme's and TikTok. :) If you like to laugh, I probably already like you! I live in Seattle's Capitol Hill area very close to downtown.

I am a photographer as well as having a few side gigs. Feel free to checkout my photography at brilliantvita.com
I can also send you my instagram or other socials if you wish.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

*** HOST ***
You are free to shoot me a msg if you have questions on Seattle even if my profile says not accepting guest. If you are wanting a couch, send an actual request! I can give you my whatsapp or phone number to communicate if I am able to host. If I agree to host, you can 100% count on it. I don't send "you still coming" messages. If I say yes, I put it in my calendar and plan on seeing you on the dates you requested. You can confirm with me if you want but I've never had a change of plans when I commit. If you are one of those people who have several different people on 'standby' expecting you because you want to choose a host last minute then please tell me that when you ask. I go out of my way to make sure the extra bed is clean and setup, get extra snacks, adjust my schedule, etc. to host you so please don't cancel two hours before you are arriving.

My place is a nice sized one bedroom and have an additional (very comfortable) fold out bed or couch you can sleep on. (See pictures). I'm one block from a grocery store, 8 blocks from bars and nightlife and about 10 mins from downtown/Space Needle so easy to get around. I'll make sure you have clean sheets/bedding and towels and there is onsite laundry if you need to wash your clothes.

Ideal surfer would be 1 or maybe 2 travelers for less than a week.

Being from a small town I treat people like an old friend right away. You are welcome to come and go as you please. If I have the time I can drive you around and show you the city but if I'm working that might not be possible. Happy to help when I can and I love being a tour guide! I know your excited about being in a new city so fine to go out and have fun. I'm not a host who expects your time as long as you are polite about the hours you keep. I am gay but not important if you are. I only mention because I don't want you to have a problem with that. You are welcome to tag along if I'm going somewhere fun, a hike, dinner with friends, the gym etc. I treat your stay basically like a hostel. You get clean bedding and towels when you arrive and you can be social if you want or do your own thing. Food is community so eat/drink whatever you want. Keep your own schedule, watch whatever you want on TV (Except PLEASE don't make me watch Centipede again! It was horrible!) :)

*** Traveling ***
Typically I just rent a hotel or hostel when I'm traveling so I'm guaranteed to be near entertainment and have a confirmed stay. I am still up for meeting people as I love the CS experience and sharing the adventure with locals. If I do stay at your place I'm happy to take you out for some meals/drinks to show my appreciation.
