About Me
I am a young professional living in Miami, FL and New York, NY. I am not accepting guests right now because I am traveling! I will be back in January. In the meantime, I am happy to share my recommendations with you - both to save and splurge. I love Miami and New York, and think you will love them too (with my advice, of course). Please do reach out to me if you're planning a trip. I would love to help you avoid those awful tourist traps!
I love to travel. I love this world. I love life! I think everything is so much better when you have someone to share the journey. I love to meet new people, and make new friends, and I hope that couch surfing will help me to do that.
In August 2015, I began an around the world journey - heading east to Vladivostok and back. For the most part, I will be on my own... which is a new experience for me. I am out seeking something, but not quite sure what. I am always looking for new and fun experiences, and people to share them with! I am not so much of a "check the box" and see the sights kind of traveler. I am interested in how people in different parts of the world live, work, and see the world. I am interested in you and your perspective.
I am traveling on a budget (and I live on a budget), but not a shoe-string. I like to splurge on something special, like a really good meal or fun event, once in a while... I am a trained chef (not working) so Michelin starred lunches, especially in towns where they are affordable, are always one of my favorite splurges.
I work while I travel, so I require strong internet connection (that supports Skype calls). If you have a couch and strong wifi, I will love it if you host me. If not, but you still want to meet up, I will love that too!
I hope to meet you somewhere on the way..... thank you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined Couchsurfing less than one week into my trip, because I realized that I was missing that real local connection. I want to meet fellow travelers and locals.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have very broad tastes....
I enjoy lots of music - anything that is relaxing or makes me want to dance. The one limitation is heavy metal or very aggressive rap.
I almost finished The Good Wife on Amazon Prime before leaving New York, but they won't let me finish it abroad.
I started Orange is the New Black Season 3 on Netflix whilst in Germany.
I haven't read a lot recently as I have been focusing on travel planning.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Purchased a one way ticket to Bergen, Norway and set out on this trip!... And then flew home mid-trip to save my job.... And then purchased another one way ticket to Mumbai, India. I feel free
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you to cook and to budget your life. I hope that there are other things... but those are where I am most confident
What I Can Share with Hosts
Friendship, conversation, listening and an open mind, an American perspective (if you believe that Nations have a perspective), an honest opinion (if you want one), cooking, cooking lessons, travel planning (to Miami, New York, or other destinations I have visited), a good laugh (I frequently act like Lucille Ball... which tends to amuse my friends)
Countries I’ve Visited
Denmark, Germany, Greece, India, Jordan, Lebanon, Myanmar, Norway, Poland, Romania, Singapore, Thailand, Ukraine
