About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make the world a better place than when I found it, whether in small ways or great ones.

ABOUT ME

I'm always eager to meet new and interesting people and share good vibrations. I was born and grew up in Belgrade, the city I love the most. I like to travel, but I also like to show other people my beloved hometown and its secrets. I work an interesting job as algorithm designer and developer in one Belgrade company. I enjoy playing football (soccer) and bowling with my friends. Some call me old school romantic and dispositional optimist, usually not so good characteristics when you live in 21st century. But that is my way and I don't care.

PHILOSOPHY

€œMy own heroes are the dreamers, those men and women who tried to make the world a better place than when they found it, whether in small ways or great ones. Some succeeded, some failed, most had mixed results... but it is the effort that's heroic, as I see it. Win or lose, I admire those who fight the good fight.-€• George R.R. Martin

€œIt's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end, because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines, it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you, that meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. Because they were holding on to something... There's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it's worth fighting for.€
-ۥ J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings

But mathematics is the sister, as well as the servant, of the arts and is touched with the same madness and genius. - Harold Marston Morse

Music, Movies, and Books

Books>
Mostly epic fantasy: A Song of Ice and Fire (G.R.R. Martin), Tolkien works, Name of the Wind (Patrick Rotfus), Terry Pratchet. Beside epic fantasy, I'm also a fan of Victor Hugo, Douglas Adams and many others.

Movies and TV>
I found safe anchor from agressive Holywood hyperproduction in independent movies around the World (mostly Europe). My favorite director is Alex de la Iglesia (early works: Day of the Beast, The Perfect Crime). Movie "In Brugges" make me visit this wonderfull town.
I like legendary TV shows such as Only Fools nad Horses and cartoon sarcastic parody South Park. Few shows attracted my attention nowadays. Some of them are Martin Scorses's Boardwalk Empire and, of course, Game of Thrones.

Music>
I'm passionate music consumer. My music taste consists of a broad range of genres, from Irish traditional music to Hard&Heavy and many more. Some of my favorites are: Nightwish, Metallica, Iron Maiden, The Pogues, Orthodox Celts, Dropkick Murphy's, Alice in Chains, Tool, Goblini and so on and on...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The old part of the city of Brugges was an amazing experience for me. I was trapped in a fairytale.

Teach, Learn, Share

I was math teacher, so anything I know from this beautifull part of science called math is my share (haha just kidding, who would like to learn math on her/his holiday or travel time).
I have many different occupations and interests beside my job such as books, music, movies, writing, sport, computers etc.
As I said before, I can offer my knowledge of Belgrade's tumultuous history, night life and some nice and secret places you wouldn't find in standard tourist's guides.
