About Me
CURRENT MISSION
sharing constructive ideas, and fulfilling the needs of women and children in crisis.....
ABOUT ME
Friendly, honest, good listener and conversationalist, fair, kind, polite, love God, and people and assisting them. Love traveling, blending int'l foods and other cultures, resourceful, clean, and love clean adventure.
Living in other countries has been the joy of my life, most of my life, has made me naturally, multicultural, sensitive to others and their culture, and appreciative of differences.
Hiking, tennis, reading, mountain climbing (trail),horseback riding are sports I like to participate in, and observe. Basketball has been my favorite to play over the years, however, I also enjoy watching it.
I would love to travel with others. My family has been the only ones I have ever traveled with, or alone.
Currently, I am looking forward to going to Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, and/or Illinois to assist Tornado Victims. However, I need a ride from Virginia near North Carolina border to my destination, and a family, or woman with the gift of hospitality for 2 months. I am an older woman, in great shape, clean, clean-living. Being old-fashioned in many ways, there is an exception that makes me standout in the USA from today's-woman: dating is not for me along w/all that goes with it, and staying alone w/men or teenage boys!
PHILOSOPHY
Evaluating Pure and Wholesome differences, and accepting only what God accepts. Staying with basics: life, liberty with some restraints, and true, equal opportunity is what I am striving for.
Love people, but not necessarily what they do!
Ministering hope, to those who have loss hope.
Integrity, honor, and principles.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Waiting for my first experience.
Interests
Since Emergency Crisis and responding to them has also become a natural part of my life, it is always amazing to discover each Crisis different, and my response to it. In addition, finding ways to bring comfort to those who are hurting the most. Though I consider myself to be a Philanthropist, I am one that does not have the finances to do so, but other abilities, and ways of assisting. Children and Battered women are my greatest concern, and they have been my focus, and work (non-professional) for more than 28 years. Someday, I would like to take them traveling with me to different continents, and experiencing a brighter side of life, that will enhance their lives.
In addition, currently I am attempting to find a way to purchase a Home for Battered Women and Children in the State of Virginia, and later in 4 other states.
The Crisis in OK, TX and other states has lead me to include a Project to help build homes for many who have lost theirs. No, I do not know how to build a home, but I can learn, and enlist others who already know how to.
I am still looking forward to traveling with others, both national and international.

Music, Movies, and Books
I do not like movies or t.v. except news. Almost all classical, and some spiritual music are my favorites.
My favorite book is the Bible, A Woman of Substance, International books and magazines, Science, and International Travel. Most novels do not interest me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The areas for places we have lived on this site, does not give me the chance to do that. However, I have lived in several places in England, Netherlands, Germany, Bahrain, Oman, U.A.E., Jordan, Egypt. However, I have visited other places in the world, but never the Orient, Caribbean, West Indies, Central and South America, and many of the Islands. There are many moments that have left me awestruck in several places, however, all have one thing in-common: Everywhere I went, the people were Exceptionally Friendly, Polite, and Helpful. There was only one place in the world where I experienced Tragedy: Egypt! Others from there, made a great impression, and even sought to assist me after being physically attacked by 5 strangers that were men (not sexually). The women were great!
The most amazing thing I have done in my life, is to meet people from other nations, that were completely accepting of my dress-style, values, and pure way of life and living.
Teach, Learn, Share
As long as there is not arrogance, I can learn from anybody, though I do not necessarily have to agree with them. I love those who like to both teach and learn. Sharing and exchanging traveling stories, and experiences that are good and bad.
