About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Balance in All Things.

ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty easy-going person. I'm huge on Consent Culture, Equality for All, and Feminism.

I spend my time trying to help people. My career for the past 7 or so years has been in customer service, and I love it. I like giving advice to friends. I seem to be good at it and it makes me happy.

I enjoy being silly and playing outside/ games with friends. I refuse to give up my childhood joys and still regularly go to parks during all times of the year and all times of the day and night. I can sit and swing on a swing set for hours, and you will likely never see me more content. In fact, there has been a decidedly unsubstantial amount of parks in my life as of late, so if you could tell me about where I can find some good ones (have car, will travel) I would be very much obliged. Swing set is necessary, though. If there aren't any swings, don't bother.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm really just starting to. I signed up for this site a couple years ago and then didn't have any opportunity to travel. So, it's time to try again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've not surfed with any known CS'ers yet, but I've met a few good people that are on the site.

Interests

I enjoy Dancing and I go clubbing a lot. I'm a trained singer, so I love to go to Karaoke and have fun.

I'm also pretty straight-edge in that I don't drink, smoke, or partake of any other "substances." I've got no problem with other people who like to experiment or drink or what have you, though, so long as they know their limits and are responsible. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

BOOKS: The Princess Bride, American Gods, The Sandman Series (or really anything by Neil Gaiman), How We Decide, Alice in Wonderland, Through the Looking Glass, The Redwall Series by Brian Jacques, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, A Scarlett Letter, Artist's books and the like

WEB COMICS, ETC: XKCD, Order of the Stick, Happle Tree, FREAKANGELS, 8-Bit Theater, HomeStarRunner.com (mostly for sbemails.), Zero Punctuation. I'm always looking for some new/good suggestions, so feel free to hit me up. Just so's you know, though, since this is the first one that people ALWAYS suggest to me, I'm just not that into Questionable Content. Feel free to judge.

MOVIES: The Princess Bride, Girl Interrupted, The Butterfly Effect, Dogma, The City Of Lost Children, Secretary, Stranger Than Fiction, Freedom Writers, Vanilla Sky, Requiem For A Dream, Batman Begins, Dark Knight, Romeo+Juliet, Now and Then, 10 Thing I Hate About You, Stick It, Saved, The Bird Cage, To Wong Fu Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar, Pretty Woman, American Beauty, Girls Will Be Girls

MUSIC: What I listen to is heavily influenced by how I'm feeling at the time. I've an extensive and eclectic range of music that I love, but one thing they all share no matter what the genre is that they make me feel something. Sometimes that something is deeply emotional, sometimes it just makes me want to get up and DANCE, and sometimes it's both.

This list will be constantly evolving from now on. For now, here are some of my most recent favorites on my iPod.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moved across the country, alone, with only one friend in the area. That was a huge learning experience. Still is. In fact, it's really hard to write anything else here it's been such a defining moment in my life, lol.
