About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living with a heart who opens wider every day.

ABOUT ME

My life feels complete when it includes these things: a kitchen to cook in, a table to share, ample time spent walking, and the challenge to be here, to be present, and to be available to those around me.

Skills: brewing tea, listening, waiting for the right moment.

PHILOSOPHY

This is what I want, so far as I know: to keep opening myself as a goal of its own and also in order to be more present for the people in my life. To seek the brightness in others and coax it out of it's little hidey-hole. I would also like a border collie, and a few other things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to Couch Surfing, but I do so love the idea of opening my home to travelers. In my own journeys I have been welcomed by many -into homes, into families- I want to pass that kind of experience along to others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been taken in and given hospitality in so many homes in my life. Some of the most profound were while I was living out of my backpack in Scandinavia, Iceland, Norway, and Denmark.

Interests

Tea, old book smell, white pines, lake superior, haiku, foot travel, musical instruments, bread baking, tying knots, herb gardens, BIRDS, spicy food, wool, moonlight, nuclear fusion, choral music, painting, painters, food, cities, cedar trees, border collies, finding out, aurorae, garlic, language, psychology, lending a hand, chats, coffee,... Isn't life wonderful and filled by amazing things?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled far enough to know the most challenging journey is within.

Learned that sometimes one needs to move around on this earth in order to go deeper into one's self.
