ABOUT ME

I'm currently working hard and putting away my acorns so that I can do some serious traveling next year.

I'd really like to bike to Mexico or beyond. I feel like the backpack/ gypsy thing can be a little trite but I'd be lying if I said that lifestyle still didn't have some appeal.

Currently I work full time, go to school full time, volunteer, and work out as much as I can. I'm also quite a party girl and think that hard work merits hard play.

My grandmother's quote. Work hard and work honest.

I also think it's important to keep an open mind and be tolerant. Morality is not black and white!

Also also, geography is destiny.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd love to start surfing and meet new people. Right now my living situation is pretty booked so sadly I can't offer any room to travelers. When more space opens up at my place I'd love to start hosting, too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've yet to have any documented CouchSurfing experiences. I spent last summer couch hopping but didn't know about this website (Behind the times, I know) so all of it was done the old fashioned way.

Interests

I bike everywhere and this year finished my first Ragbrai which is a 7 day bike marathon across the state of Iowa. It was really fun! I highly recommend it if you like bikes, people, and camping.

I also love the outdoors, dogs, cats, cooking, and Mexican food. I'd like to start rock climbing and scuba diving but that requires money I'd also like to spend on new tattoos.

I'm certified to teach English as a second language and am a big fan of trading English lessons for a warm meal and a roof over my head. I also love learning new skills so I'll let anyone put me to work.
