About Me

CURRENT MISSION

planting seeds of wild love with every footstep.

ABOUT ME

of myself, I am nothing...

PHILOSOPHY

I live to see the sun, to watch the clouds, to taste the rain, to walk the path. I live to follow the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By connecting with others around the globe, I hope to increase my understanding and the understanding of others about the world we share. It is not me that travels, IT travels through me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't much experience, other than couches offered by occasional neighbors and friends over the years. I have slept in ditches, caves, and beneath picnic tables. I will update this section accordingly!

Interests

Forests, mountains, rivers, primitivism, archery, bushcraft, animism, bioregionalism, foraging, deep ecology, zen, silence, herbalism, wandering.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have enjoyed many books, such as: "Becoming Animal", "Leaves of Grass", "The Perennial Philosophy", "Wildwood Wisdom", and "Dao De Jing". Not many films reach me these days, nor music for that matter, except for the raucous birdsong at daybreak or the wind pouring through the forest canopy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Where does one begin? Right now is pretty amazing, truly. Everything I started to type in here felt less amazing as the letters appeared on screen--ask me in person.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can start a fire by rubbing two sticks together. What draws me to primitive skills is the self-reliance and independence gained, as well as the developing of a deeper understanding (and appreciation) of nature and environment. I am interested in furthering this wisdom by meeting and exploring other cultures and wild, remote places. I have a working knowledge of wild foods and medicines and shelter-building. Let's go play in the woods sometime--hear your own voice echo in the wake of the birdsong. That said, wildness is within everything. Teach me anything.
