About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To escape from the daily routine of my lifestyle and venture out into something I've never done before.

ABOUT ME

*Fully Vaccinated*

I try not to take life too seriously and be completely wound up with all the little worries that ultimately are meaningless. I like to just be me, being weird, open, happy, and lend an ear to anything you have to say.

I've been constantly on the run from boredom for a while now. Thankfully I've made sure that it hasn't caught up to me. I used to live in Australia where I started a community share house with 4 other friends known as Crunchy Town that hosted hundreds of guests. I've been missing it and hope to start something up similar here in my hometown of CO. Here's a snippet of what it was like traveling/hosting/adventuring in Australia:

PHILOSOPHY

Karma. Be happy. Be open. Try something new. Challenge yourself

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couchsurfing is a beneficial experience bringing people together and our house loves to host as many unique and strange travelers as possible. Normal people are also welcome too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couch Surfing is awesome. So many people, so many adventures. I've made lifelong friends through here and can't get enough of hosting people and bringing them into our unique world, and discovering the amazing stories from travelers that inspire, make you laugh, and make you think.

Interests

Writing, traveling, cartooning, skiing, biking, climbing on whatever, surprises, sushi, costume parties, the mountains, the snowy mountains, music festivals, joking, laughing (that should be a hobby for everyone), and pretty much taking on any new adventure or opportunity when I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music list changes constantly. I love all the classics from The Beatles, Bob Dylan, to Johnny Cash. The Indie from Death Cab to Bright Eyes to Tv on the Radio. The obscure: The Weakerthans, Aquabats, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. And currently the dance electronic: Flume, Chet Faker, Odesza, Ryan Hemsworth and so on. Too much to list. I'm a music nerd and love everything.

My favorite movies are basically comedies such as The Big Lebowski, Shaun of the Dead, Bottle Rocket, and then the ones that add a little more drama to them like, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Royal Tenenbaums, and American Beauty. And I certainly wouldn't say no to a good animated movie, especially anything from Studio Ghibli and Mr. Miyazaki.

Favorite books include the creepy House of Leaves, and then authors like Jose Saramago, Chuck Pahlahniuk, Christopher Moore, and anything that comes out of Karl Pilkington's head.

The lists do no justice. Just ask me about this stuff when you see me and we can discuss.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Laying down on top of Golden Ears in Vancouver, Canada, after an eight hour hike, staking our claim above the clouds, as we gazed at an endless amount of shooting stars.

Any music festival that I've been too, has always been a unique and invigorating experience, from Bonnaroo to Shambhala.

My first time surfing in Australia, getting pummeled by wave after wave.

Starting a community share house/semi-hostel in Australia that is still up and running.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you how to juggle, fly a plane (if you happen to randomly have one), ski, or snowboard (although I'm still an amateur at snowboarding), and of course there's always all the games! Board games, party games, social games. I love anything that can get the creative juices flowing.

I'm up for learning anything new. Well mostly anything; I don't think I've turned down a new learning opportunity yet.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hopefully whatever it is you're looking for.
