I was born near Niagara Falls Canada. I am the oldest of 3 brothers. Borh my parents were teachers. My middle brother has Multiple Sclerosis and is confined to a wheelchair. He and I founded a computer company in 1992. He is still running the company today. My youngest brother is a teacher. I was divorced in 2005. I have a 17 year old daughter. She just started college.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My best friend Dave was born with a congenital heart defect known as Transposition of the Great Vessels. This left him susceptible to a spontaneous cardiac arrest which occurred in June 2013. It was 11 minutes until his heart was restarted but he was left with permanent brain damage, mostly to his memory. He used to be an engineering designer but can't work anymore. After 16 months in hospital, he has been on his own in an apartment for a year.

Dave and I have both sailed since we were kids. Our plan is to travel across the US to find us a boat to live on and travel the world.
