ABOUT ME

I am easygoing, friendly, adventurous and positive, I'm a little shy in big groups at times, but I soon warm up and love meeting new people and socialising. I am planning to spend several months (or maybe years)in Canada, travelling, volunteering, working and maybe will settle here for good one day. I spent the last 11 years working for an adventure travel company in the UK and have been fortunate to travel to more than 50 countries. My most recent volunteer job was helping out at a whale watch company in Long Island, Nova Scotia - what a great experience that was.

Don't miss out due to things that you have no control over, if it's raining put on a coat and get out there!

People are inherently good and will treat you well if you treat them well.

If at first you don't succeed, give up and go down the pub!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to couch surfing and currently cannot offer a couch as moved out of my house to go travelling, but when I next get a base, I will look forward to hosting.

Interests

I like being outdors and enjoy kayaking/canoeing, hiking, camping, soccer (although it should be called football!), mountain biking, fishing. Also like reading a good book, going to see bands, socialising at the pub, films, photography.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing humpback whales breaching within 30ft of the zodiac boat I was on last week was pretty amazing.

Building a balsa wood raft and floating down the Amazon and then fishing for piranhas in Bolivia was an experience that I'll never forget.
