I am currently on the move across the country by Greyhound Bus working on a photographic project trying to chronicle a sense of American life as we know it.
I am an American artisan, currently relocating from the cold winds of the north east to the west coast of California (more specifically Oakland) in search of folling my dream of making my work seen. I am on a 2 month Greyhound journey from coast to coast and am living on the bus and in places that are willing to open their doors to me. I was educated at the New England School of Photography in Boston and lived there for 5 years. I have started reading the bible from an outsider perpective trying to seperate myself from any faith that I may have had and read it from an objective point of view. I am through Exodus and am finding the story to be a strong message of supreme power and pain.
I am in a current state of spiritual discovery, trying to find personal balance in my life and my soul. Trying to strip myself of
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I plan to participate in any way possible. At this point I am between homes so I cannot host, but plan to do so as soon as I have my own roof to share and place over your heads.
I have been on the move for the past month and have been couch surfing along the way with people that I know or with friends of friends. as I get further west my friends and friends of friends is thinning and I hope to begin to expand that by way of this site.
I am interested in Photography, Art, Not that art and photography are not one in the same but in some circles they are not equal. Reading more than I have been, Light, Spirituality, Inner Peace, Hiking, Trees, Nature, and lastly anything that anyone can teach me.
Music, Movies, and Books
My two favorite movies are The Band of Outsiders and Down by Law. Tom Waits is the most powerful musician for me in my life. The bible is my current book of choice as it is all that I have and I am working my way through it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing the sun rise over the Capitol Building in Washington D.C. left me in awe in realization of the small history of our country and where we once were as a nation of the rebellion.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach the basic knowledge of photography and camera usage and am willing to do so whenever. I also would like to learn anything that has to do with handy craft or creation. Making and doing.
