My current mission is to travel in Europe, not get robbed, and try not to run out of money.
I just finished teaching English in Seoul, South Korea. I'm getting ready to begin an adventure in Europe. I'm starting in London, then going to Paris, meeting a friend in Switzerland, then off to a few cities in Germany, and maybe wherever the wind takes me...
Be happy and be on the right side of history.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm hoping to couch surf with someone at some point while I'm in Europe. I have a couple objectives: first, it will be less expensive and second, I'll meet people which will hopefully enrich my experience and make it more memorable.
The only surfing experience that I have is that a friend of mine had a couch surfer for a few days. I met him and was persuaded to sign up.
I have a lot of interests. I love to read and write. I always have my snout in a book. Right now I'm reading a book by Truman Capote (Music for Chameleons), and it's only the second book I've read, but I think he is one of my favorite authors (I change my top five every couple of weeks). I'm also interested in politics, but I generally do no talk about it. Good conversation is something I love. The topics can range from education reform to poetry to the history of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Music, Movies, and Books
Harold and Maude, In Cold Blood, The Great Gatsby, anything by David Sedaris, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This disturbs me. I don't think I've done anything AMAZING. I've went skydiving, I've lived in Korea, I've taught children, but I don't think I've ever done anything amazing. My goal this next year is to do something amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
This is strange, but I love sandwiches and I used to be a vegetarian, so I think me teaching someone else how to make the world's best sandwich might be something that I could teach.
Ingredients: tofurkey, mushrooms, avocado, bread (or wheat wrap if you're watching carbs), some type of cheese. I prefer pepperjack, but some may prefer a soy cheese.
Saute the mushrooms until brown, add a little salt, then add the cheese and lay four slices of tofurkey over the cheese and mushrooms.
Use half of the avocado and spread it on the bread (or the wrap). Once the cheese is melted (soy cheese doesn't melt that well, but you'll get the point), take the hot stuff and put it on the avocado-smeared-bread. Then eat. It's good.
