About Me

ABOUT ME

I have amazing friends. They would probably say I'm a little unique. I like bright colors, costume parties, running, rock climbing, badminton, West Africa, my turtles, love my family, and mostly like to be outside but do have a job/education that requires a good bit of inside time. I get almost giddy over new experiences. I enjoy using and hearing the phrase "why not?".

PHILOSOPHY

"I don't set out to be different, I set out to be me and people think that's different." -Lil Wayne

"Close the gap that separates thought and action...you simply must do things." -Ray Douglass Bradbury

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

surfing, hanging out. Don't have a place right now, so will host when I have a place to do so again...Live out of my car sometimes, and would share that! Only have a single person tent though for those nights...

Interests

Friends, family, trail running, climbing, discovering the beautiful outdoors that are so close by and yet I had no idea they existed. I am currently trying to teach myself to swim.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Todra Gorge (in Morocco)-visited in college and it was the first gorge I've ever seen. Of course it was beautiful, but its also amazing because that's when I realized what sort of outdoor things I had never been exposed to. There's also a part on the drive out there where you're on top of a plateau and it looks like flat desert as far as you can see. Then there is a pull-off spot on the side of the road where you get out, and look down, and see a miles and miles of oasis down below you that's completely hidden from the viewpoint of the road. Then you can go down and climb palm trees and eat dates if you know some people that live there (or have friends that do).

Also, climbing/hiking/playing on Ile de Madeleine, a deserted island off the coast of Dakar, was pretty fantastic.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a little bit of medical knowledge, a tiny bit of climbing knowledge, some running knowledge, and could share places to travel in West Africa because I spent a good bit of time getting myself around there.
