About Me
Music, Movies, and Books
"Beginners" and "Detachment" are probably the best two films I've ever seen. I also find Wong Kar Wai's "In the mood for love" amazing, as most of his other films. I'm very into Scandinavian films, being "Hævnen" (In a better world) and "Jagten" (The Hunt) the best two I've seen so far (but yes yes, The girl with the dragon tattoo and Let the right one in are also great). I also liked the nordic series Forbrydelsen (The Killing) and Bron (The Bridge). From recent watching, the movie I have liked the most is "Her", which seems to have been a great success but I only discovered till now...
In books, I like Murakami's work a lot (read most of his books by now) and I also find JM Coetzee's work very very good. I'm right now switching between Shantaram (and reminiscing a lot of my time in India) and A wilful disregard, Swedish novel one very dear friend recommended me. Regarding Colombian literature, most people immediately think of Gabriel García Márquez's One hundred years of solitude, which is an incredibly good book, but I would have to say my all time favourite would be "El olvido que seremos" by Héctor Abad Faciolince.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Never having been abroad before, one day I decided to step into a 24-hour trip to Tianjin, China, to stay there for a year... Sometimes I have to ask myself what I was thinking haha, but I never regreted it, not even a second..
Also surviving a very unpleasent serving of Bhang Lassi after getting lost in Varanasi, India (and the 8 hours that the whole adventure lasted).
