About Me
Hello Couchsurfers (and Hosts)!
I'm a mid-20's Biomedical Engineer in the Digital Health space - currently couch surfing for personal (hiking) and professional (career + advocacy) work.
A few interesting things about me:
- I'm a "dreamer" -- every night when I go to sleep, I lucid dream - all sorts of fun conversations, if this strikes a chord with you
- I really enjoy hiking / running - and especially vantage points. If there's a recommendation that you have for the area - please let me know! Likewise, I'd be happy to share about the prime spots about St. Louis, where I've been living the past several years.
- I have a passion for helping others find out more about themselves - most recently in the realm of chronic diseases. I just finished working with a Digital Health startup that makes Wing (http://mywing.io) - which is an FDA-approved device that acts like a compass for your lung health.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have a number of friends who have been couch surfing for almost a decade now - and they have always raved about the experience of getting to know others across the globe.
For my own part, I've always enjoyed both learning and sharing - and feel like the experience could be much more personable than an airbnb (or similar) stay.
Even if the hosting / staying doesn't work out - I invite you to reach out to me, if anything on my profile resonates with you. I'm all for making friends as well.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Really just about anything - my tastes have expanded, rather than narrowed.
Movies: The Matrix & Inception
Books: 100 Years of Solitiude; soon to pick up The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (is couchsurfing included?)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I just completed the Half Dome hike in Yosemite this year! 15 mile / ~9,000 ft elevation change roundtrip - with the craziest part being the climb up to / down from Half Dome itself.
Pictures alone cannot describe the experience, but a YouTube search for "Half Dome cables" comes pretty close :P
Teach, Learn, Share
Teaching - I'm pretty well versed on technology and society.
Learning - My favorite question after getting to know someone is what they think they might be able to teach me - open ended here & depends on the interaction!
Share - I'm an open person and enjoy exchanging stories; my life has sort of been like a Forest Gump tale - perhaps you'll be a part of it!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Beyond the items mentioned elsewhere - I love to cook! Let me know if this is of interest to you, and I would be happy to make a meal for you and/or your housemates :)
