I was born in Vinkeveen (small town near Amsterdam) but I've been living in the city for as long as I can remember. I have a big passion for gaming and the e-sports industry, I really enjoy seeing people turn gaming into their profession. The progress of gaming has been immense, so that's been amazing to follow.

I'm currently studying Media Information and Communcations at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. I'm not quite sure if that's the area I want to work in, but I do really enjoy learning about the possibilities of media and marketing. After this study I'm planning to work for a while, after which I want to join the Dutch police.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I'm here to try and meet new people! I'd like to show others around in Amsterdam, and I hope to meet a couple of new friends. I haven't actually Couchsurfed or hosted myself yet, but the idea itself sounds really appealing. It helps people save some money on accomodations and it is a really convenient tool to get to know the place you're visiting, and its people, as opposed to 'just' getting the tourist experience.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Movies:
I'm a bit of a movie freak, I had a movie pass about a year ago so I basically went to the cinema's three times a week. To name a few favorites:
Godfather
The Prestige
500 Days of Summer
LotR
No Country for Old Men
And it wasn't really a type of movie I watch a lot, but I actually really liked La La Land, it was really nicely made and the story was surprisingly good. Loved the ending as well!

Music:
Not really into most of the modern music, electronic isn't my kind of music and that is basically incorporated into every song right now. I really like music from the 2000s and before that, huge fan of Blink128, Nujabes, Gorillaz, RHCP, Arctic Monkeys and The Doors. I do like a few more modern artists and songs, but I wouldn't call them my favorite. I do really like Imagine Dragons and Kensington.
Shout out to my favorite novelty rapper as well, Lil Dicky, really love listening to his stuff and it always makes me laugh.

Books:
I'm not really a big reader, I do enjoy it once I actually pick out a book that I really like, but that hardly happens. Would love to start reading a bit more, so I'm trying to listen to other people's advice on what to read. I love books with fantasy, sci-fi and history themes. I've read the entire Game of Thrones series and like most people my age, Harry Potter. I grew up with those books so I have some fond memories of them.

Series:
I am a huge fan of Game of Thrones, I've probably watched every episode twice. Series I have followed in the past are Breaking Bad, Sopranos, Rick and Morty and a few more. Not really watching anything right now, mostly waiting for the new season of GoT.
