One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in the woods in Ocala National Forest at a rainbow gathering. There were funnel clouds forming directly above us all day and reports that the entire area would be hit with multiple tornadoes that day. As a group we all decided there was nothing we could do about it (we were in tents) there was no way to get out in time, so why be worried, make the best of it. We all just focused our energies on having a good time instead of worrying about the tornadoes. By nightfall the tornadoes started to hit. 7 total that night in the area. One of the men at one of the kitchens had a wind up radio and was listening to the reports. He heard that there was a massive one headed directly for our location and began going around telling everyone (as if to prepare them). We all decided again to stay our course and have a good time, what good was worrying.
We all watched a hell of a storm that night and acording to the continued reports that tornado SPLIT (for real) into 2 tornadoes, went around the gathering site on both sides and came together again on the other side! Not a single person at the site was harmed we all just watched the storm. 7 people died in surrounding towns that night. Why were we spared? I still cry when I think about this experience, It was inspiring, upliftitng, terrifying and traumatic. Everyone felt that we were spared because we came together as a whole (with no concern for who each other were just that we were here... together) and dropped our fear (because it did no good). Yuou did not have to drive very far off site to see the reckage.

I have to many of these stories to count, The list truly goes on. Writing this story does not do the experience justice or even come close. This experience was entirely magical.
