Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted many interesting, multi-cultural, brilliant and friendly people during my time on couch surfing. In the past I have made great friends that I communicate with much later after meeting. I'm looking forward to hosting you in New York and traveling to your cities around the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted dozens of friendly and respectful couch surfers in my home. Frequently I've had the time to show surfers around my city.

Interests

I am passionate about design, & making of all types.

Drawing & sketching especially interest me. I draw all the time and sketch everywhere.

Reading is especially important to me and I like reading about all sorts of topics from history to architectural theory to philosophy and how-to.

I have a thing for early to mid-20th century film.

I am obsessed with the 19th Century.

I ride bikes.

I have begun learning how to sew and recently acquired a 1940s singer to practice on.

Music, Movies & Books

Audio: dub, electric, jazz, BEEPS & BOOPS

Video: Favs--Jean-Luc Godard, Quentin Tarantino, Stanley Kubrick, Wes Anderson

Books: Anything architectural, fiction & non, amazing storytelling.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

In 2013 I saw the Hagia Sophia. It was incredible and the experience inside other Turkish mosques blew me away.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to appreciate all that space is in our lives. Everything we do, we do in some relationship with architecture, whether natural or human-created. It is profound and interferes with our everyday in all sorts of ways. Through thoughtful design strategies, we can begin to create better spaces.
